Approval Consulting for Your Drone Operations
From the SORA for the Specific category and a live air picture of your operating area to the air traffic report for your BVLOS operation. We take care of the paperwork so you can fly.

We Advise in Both Operational Categories
Not every operation needs a SORA — but the Open category isn't always approval-free either. We classify your project and handle the application in both cases.
Open Category
Even without a SORA, you need an approval as soon as your operating area lies within a zone: a restricted area, a control zone, a UAS geographical zone or near an airfield. We clarify who is responsible and file the application — as part of our SORA consulting.Specific CategoryOur specialty
As soon as your flight exceeds the limits of the Open category — above 120 m, beyond visual line of sight, over 25 kg or over uninvolved people — you need an operational authorisation with a SORA risk assessment. We prepare the assessment, the concept of operations and the application documents.
What We Take Care of for You
Three services that can be combined. What you need depends on what you want to fly and where.
SORA Consulting
Risk analysis, concept of operations and application for the Specific category. We guide you through the entire SORA process — from assessing ground and air risk to the operations manual.Learn moreSituational Awareness
We make the airspace above your operating area visible: we supply the receivers with instructions, you set them up on site — so you and your remote pilots always know what is moving nearby.Learn moreAir Traffic Report
From the measurement data of your operating area, we produce the air traffic report and bring it into your application as an air risk mitigation — the basis for BVLOS from a drone-in-a-box.Learn more
The Problems We Solve for You
Most people come to us with one of these five situations. Under each one, you'll find what we do about it.
Your project no longer fits into the Open category
Above 120 m, beyond visual line of sight, heavier than 25 kg, over uninvolved people or dropping objects — and therefore subject to approval. We prepare the SORA risk assessment, the concept of operations and the application for the Specific category.Your operating area lies in a zone and nobody tells you who is responsible
Restricted area, control zone, UAS geographical zone or an airfield nearby: here the competent body decides on the flight, regardless of the category. We clarify responsibilities, check the zones and file the application. You don't know what is flying above your operating area
Gliders, paragliders and rescue helicopters aren't on any map. We supply the receivers with instructions, you set them up in your area — and you and your remote pilots get a live air picture, plus the matching operating procedures in your operations manual.Your BVLOS application fails on air risk
Without reliable airspace data, the application stalls. We measure for up to three months in your operating area, produce the air traffic report and bring it in as an air risk mitigation — so the mission gets through at SAIL II.The documents are ready, but the authority keeps asking questions
Unclear assumptions, missing evidence, the wrong level of robustness: we review what you have, sharpen the argument and handle the correspondence — in Germany and Austria.

Frequently Asked Questions About Approval Consulting
On cost, duration and scope of a consultation, we answer the questions that come up most often in the initial consultation.
That depends on why your flight needs an approval. If it's the type of operation — altitude, weight, visual line of sight, dropping objects — you need a SORA. If it's the location, it's about a clearance for the area — we handle that as part of our SORA consulting. For BVLOS from a drone-in-a-box, the airspace comes on top: a live air picture during operations and an air traffic report for the application. We sort this out in the initial consultation.
The effort depends on the operation. A single application in the Specific category is different from a BVLOS programme with a measurement campaign. After the initial consultation, you receive a written quote with scope and price. Similar, simpler operations can be handled considerably cheaper using our existing templates.
Processing time lies with the authority and varies from case to case. What can be planned is the part before: documents, evidence and — if necessary — the measurement. An air traffic report needs up to three months of data collection plus two weeks of analysis. If you want to fly in summer, you need to measure in spring.
Yes. We have supported procedures in both countries and know the respective contacts. The application always goes first to the competent aviation authority of the country of registration.
No. We cannot guarantee that an application will succeed; the decision lies with the competent authority. We provide the data and the expert support — and tell you early if a project is not approvable in its planned form.
Yes. Some clients only have their risk analysis reviewed, others only have the operations manual written or only the measurement carried out. Tell us in the initial consultation where you stand.
