In wingman, you can reduce ground and air risk in line with the options suggested by the SORA methodology by implementing mitigation measures. These are a very valuable tool for making a flight with an initially high risk feasible nonetheless.
For each mitigation measure, you can define a robustness level and explain the measures taken. wingman then immediately shows you the effects of your mitigation measures on the risk.
Once the initial SAIL is displayed, you can start the ground risk mitigations by clicking a button. A workflow will open, guiding you step by step through the options.
Ground risk can be high if your flight takes you over populated areas. Mitigation measures are a good way to reduce the risk. For example, you can reduce the risk of injury to people on the ground and bring valuable equipment safely to the ground by defining a sufficiently large ground risk buffer or using a parachute.
Once the initial SAIL is displayed, you can start the air risk mitigations by clicking a button. A workflow will open, guiding you step by step through the options.
As soon as you reach higher altitudes or certain airspaces, air risk becomes increasingly important for you. Air risk mitigations offer you the opportunity to declare measures that reduce the risk of encountering dangerous situations in the air. Air risk mitigations usually have to be agreed with the authorities, which is why the options here are purely declarative. If you need help, please contact skyzr. We offer specialised consulting for SORAs.
Once you have applied all mitigations, wingman immediately shows you the effect on your ground risk and air risk class as well as on your SAIL. As you can see in the example, mitigations can be very effective! If you need help, please contact skyzr. We offer specialised consulting for SORAs.
