Apply mitigations and minimize risk
In wingman, you can reduce ground and air risk using the mitigation options proposed by the SORA methodology. Mitigations are a highly valuable tool for making a flight with an initially high risk feasible after all.
For each mitigation, you can define a robustness level and describe the measures you've put in place. wingman then immediately shows you the impact of your mitigations on the risk.

Starting Ground Risk Mitigation
Once your initial SAIL is displayed, you can start Ground Risk mitigations with the click of a button. This opens a workflow that guides you step by step through the available options.
Declaring Ground Risk mitigations
Ground Risk can turn out high if your flight passes over populated areas. Mitigation measures are an effective way to reduce that risk. For example, defining a sufficiently large Ground Risk Buffer or using a parachute can reduce the injury risk to people on the ground while bringing your valuable equipment safely back down.

Declaring Air Risk mitigations
As you fly at greater altitudes or into certain airspaces, Air Risk becomes increasingly relevant. Air Risk mitigations let you declare measures that reduce your risk of encountering hazardous situations in the air. Since Air Risk mitigations usually need to be coordinated with the authority, the options here are purely declarative.
