Automatically calculate contingency and buffer zones

If you want, the lateral and vertical Contingency Volume is calculated automatically at the push of a button, based on the data you entered earlier. Depending on your drone's technical specifications, wingman applies different, generally accepted formulas from the German Federal Aviation Office (LBA). Alternatively, you can calculate the Contingency Volume manually and enter the values yourself — in that case, be sure to document your calculation clearly so the authority can follow it.

The Ground Risk Buffer can also be calculated automatically, using either the simple 1:1 rule or the typically more precise ballistic method. Here too, the details vary depending on your drone's technical specifications — but you don't need to worry about that: wingman automatically identifies which formula best fits your drone.
