SORA is an "AcceptableMeans of Compliance" (AMC) for EASA, i.e. an accepted way of analyzing the risk of a drone operation and taking measures to reduce the latter. As SORA was developed by an international group of experts (JARUS), there are also countries outside the EASA area of validity that accept SORA. Other countries are still considering adopting this type of risk analysis based on experience in Europe.
